Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale	Coincides with Master Plan to incorporate a lab school component in the Middletown Kindercollege facility, and on the Newburgh campus. Education students are without an essential, on-site tool for observation, participation beyond the current, informal usage at Kindercollege. Other departments could utilize this, OT, PT, and Psychology come to mind.
Consequences of this initiative not being funded	Incomplete connection of theory and practice for students. Loss of essential support "clinic/lab" for students. SUNY Orange less competitive for recruitment, retention. More dependence on local field sites, which can be undependable and inconsistent.

COLLEGE I: To provide courses in the arts, sciences, health professions, humanities, business and technology at the level of Associate degree programs, certificates, training and developmental programs to meet student needs for further education, employment and personal growth. 6: To assess classroom support and technology needs on a departmental basis and implement the necessary classroom upgrades in a coordinated manner.
STRATEGIC I: Develop and implement an Academic Master Plan that guides the renewal of current programs and services, the development of new programs and services, and formulizes the allocation of resources effectively.
