As Middle States and others have noted, Orange is far behind the curve regarding smart classrooms. Though upgrades have been made, PBIE believes more are critical to the mission of the college and quality teaching. As funds become available, upgrades should commence immediately and the number of smart classrooms must continue to grow. The lack of proper, up to date, and technologically equipped classrooms is, perhaps, one of the greatest detriments to quality teaching on campus. We welcome these changes. Note: The actual costs for the Smart Classrooms is estimated at $67,200 based on: Smart Classrooms for each of the 3 Divisions (includes projector, computer, wireless keyboard, speakers, workstation @ $4,800 each. Year One=7 classrooms ($33,600) and Year Two =7 classrooms ($33,600).
