Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale	Our current Student ID system is 13 years old and badly out of date. The equipment and software is no longer eligible for support from the manufacturer, making it an extremely unreliable system for managing student identification. Additionally, the current pandemic has taught us that we need a system that allows students to submit photos without physically coming to campus. This is the current standard in student ID systems that are now available
Consequences of this initiative not being funded	-important student information, especially student ID photos, are not available to offices that depend on it such as security, registration and advising for any student who did not obtain an ID prior to March 2020 -as long as pandemic restrictions remain in place, we will not be able to add students into the system -the current system will not be capable of handling the number of IDs that will need to be produced when we return to on-campus operations
