Convert BT 260- Technical Writing Lab – into a wireless smart classroom/lab with permanently mounted ceiling projector/laptop combination, DVD playback unit. Tech Services 3
Through interaction with participating departments and faculty, assess the effectiveness of current Technical Writing modules against workplace documentation demands and plan accordingly. English Department 4
Continue to develop new Writing Consultancy Project department and program partnerships, promoting Technical Writing Modules or interdisciplinary course packages (like Nursing & Writing 1-4) as course options. English Department 5
Develop and present Assignment Design Workshops and/or seminars for faculty (Technical Writing for Professors) to aid them in creation and use of writing tasks, materials and explanations that result in better student understanding and response. English Department 6
Develop and implement a plan for supporting WCP coordinator, faculty and instructional time for interdisciplinary WCP activities like writing-across-the-curriculum/writing-in-the-disciplines collaborative efforts with other academic departments and facult English Department 7
Work closely with CAPE, Tech Prep and other college departments to extend WCP activities, like the Nursing-Writing in-service training project, into the community workplace. English Department 8
In anticipation of proposed Newburgh campus and extension of Writing Consultancy Project, plan for Technical Writing Lab facility at that site. English Department 9
