| Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale | The department needs to continue to increase the number of full-time faculty in order to meet program objectives and learning outcomes. An additional Full-time faculty member will be required as part of the expansion plan for the Newburgh Campus. |
| Consequences of this initiative not being funded | Program quality will be adversely affected since it is difficult to maintain program consistency when relying on employees with only a one semester commitment to the college. The faculty agree unanimously that without an additional full-time faculty member, a position of Coordinator of Adjuncts needs to be established. This position would be a current full-time faculty member with a redefined load. Additionally the increase in part-time faculty in relationship to full-time faculty, adds undue burden on the full-time faculty in terms of student advising and for maintenance of accreditation status. |
