Admissions 2021-2022 Review

During the 2021-2022 academic year, our admissions team ran several successful virtual events
including Open House & Virtual Health Profession Sessions. In the spring, we were able to offer an
in-person Incoming Student Day with two sessions in April. We saw over 130 families participate in
our program and saw firsthand how important in-person student engagement is for everyone.
Our return to campus ran very smoothly, with our department offering virtual days at least once a
week for each staff member. Productivity was up and our admissions counselors were able to
connect with many of our high school students through in-person events including college nights,
instant admission & individual high school appointments. The level of engagement students and
parents had was nice to see as many folks asked questions related to SUNY Orange’s programs and
services.

On the processing side, we continued to expand on the use of the CRM by creating and utilizing the
event management platform for all our events on campus. We are no able to track how many
events each student attends and scan send automatic messaging out to students who attended to
encourage them to fill out survey as well as a message to those who didn’t attend or cancelled to
encourage them to reschedule. In collaboration with Marketing and the 23 Marketing Firm, we
created a drip campaign that sends out automatic messaging through different touch points of the
funnel including applicant to accept. This is to help the student develop a better relationship with
the college as they go through the enrollment process.
