During the 2024-2025 academic year, our admissions team worked towards meeting enrollment goals tied to the Strategic Enrollment Management Plan (SEM) through strategic planning and careful review of past events and practices. We continued to provide services that will cater to every student including virtual, in-person and phone meetings. Below you will find a listing of major on-campus events for Fall & Spring 2025

Over the past academic year, we had a number of on-campus and off-campus events. Below you will find a small snapshot of our on-campus events and how many visitors we saw throughout the year. Please note, these numbers do not include students who were walk-in appointments.
- Guidance Counselor Luncheon: 21 local counselors
- Middletown Campus Open House: 70 families – over 145 guests
- Newburgh Preview Day: 15 families
- Spring Incoming Student Day Program: 198 families
- Weekly appointments: 210 Appointments
- Campus Tour & Information Sessions: 100 families
- Virtual Health Profession Sessions – Between 50-60 students attended our events
This year, we went back to our Open House date scheduled the Saturday before Thanksgiving and had a really nice turnout. In addition, we will be changing the format of our Newburgh Preview Day and will be hosting a joint event with SUNY Orange Plus to promote workforce development and healthcare programs. More details will be flushed out during the fall semester. In addition, we will be hosting an adult learner program to help promote our SUNY reconnect and SUNY for all initiatives.
Goals & Priorities for 2025-2026
Below you will find a list of goals and priorities for the 2024-2025 academic year. The following goals will
support strategic priority #4: Systems & Spaces:
- Objective #1: Optimize systems and streamline internal processes to reduce administrative barriers, improve efficiency and enhance the SUNY Orange Experience
- Objective #2: Invest in Technology that enhances learning, improves student access and increases institutional data-driven decision making.
2025-2026 Goals:
- Create a new Admissions Application through the use of our CRM
- Build & create a new admissions presentation room for our prospective students
- Create Admissions instructional videos - ReAdmit registration
- Build communication plan in the financial aid module in our CRM to leverage FA in the Enrollment process
- Expand group tour offerings
- Implement new technologies to enhance the prospective student experience
2025-2026 Initiatives:
- Build and enhance admissions space to include a presentation room in Shepard Student Center
- Continue to expand our group visitation program
- Purchase SLATE consultation services
- Get funding to attend SLATE Conference
- Explore the use of AI technologies through Element 451, Gecko, Halda & Mongoose
