The BMST Division of SUNY Orange is committed to all college goals, the Strategic Master Plan, and the Academic Master Plan.  Particular attention will be given to providing resources to provide the best possible teaching and learning environments for our students.

In AY 2018-19, we will focus on maintaining the momentum of the Computer Science and Technology Department and strive toward creating a lab for PTech classes in Newburgh.

Department Goals

Specific things the department wishes to achieve or accomplish this academic year.

1 Focus on increasing student retention, completion, transfer and employment readiness. (Strategic Plan P2, O2)
2 To build and maintain safe, accessible and sustainable facilities that support the learning environment. (College Goal #6)
3 Maintain/hire faculty/staff for high quality instruction and business processes. Specifically, hire a new department chair for Computer Science and convert f/t temps to tenure track. (College Goal #5, Strategic Plan P1, O2)
4 Expand alternative scheduling to provide multiple avenues for successful academic degree completion. (AMP Scheduling, O2)
5 Increase online course offerings. (AMP Virtualization O3)
