As the College continues to work on a Guided Pathways model, the English Department will work on assessing the co-requisite ENG 101/098, now in its second year. Because of last semester's switch to remote learning, our Spring 2020 assessment was delayed, so we plan to assess the course this semester. Also delayed was the Department work on a potential new course to accelerate progression through the lower levels of developmental course work, Integrated Reading and Writing 1, a 4-credit course.  This will involve increased technological support, continued communication/collaboration with other departments, and increased staffing. When we are back on campus, the Department would also like to explore funding opportunities to update the English-designated classrooms in Harriman Hall and for various Department activities (speakers).
