It is imperative the Financial Aid Office increase and improve customer service through the use of educational tools  with technology to serve our new and current students. The creation of a Financial Aid Help Center would focus on helping students who have difficulty understanding the laws that govern financial aid, and the technology used to educate them on how to obtain and maintain funding through the Federal and State government. The Help Center would assist the Student Support net work in the retention of students, graduation rates, and lowering of the cohort default rate for the college. Assessments from the federal and state government have shown that student and parent awareness in the decision-making process on how to finance the cost of education is vital to helping students attain their educational goals. The Financial Aid Office has informed students and families on their personal rights and responsibilities in regards to federal and state grant and loan opportunities, however many students and families have difficulty with understanding where to look and how to utilize the technology.  Education of students on consumerism, disclosures and government regulations poses the largest challenge in reaching our student body so that they have the information needed to make informed decisions.
