This year, Human Resources and the Payroll department will advance our strategic priorities by strengthening our people-centric approach to deliver holistic experiences that enrich opportunities for our employees. The HRIS and Payroll implementation remains the flagship initiative, requiring significant time and expertise from HR and Payroll teams as we deploy new systems that will automate recruitment, onboarding, time tracking, succession planning, performance management and payroll processing. This transition will lay the groundwork for a more efficient operation, with a focus on end-user training, system optimization, and robust data management and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
Mid-year, the team will advance phase two of the implementation, introducing performance management and succession planning modules for managers to use.
We are dedicated to fostering a culture where faculty and staff feel connected, supported, and inspired to contribute. Through purposeful onboarding, inclusive collaboration, and meaningful development, we will strengthen engagement, community, and a shared commitment to student success. Objective #1 guides this effort by refining onboarding to create a consistent, supportive, and connected experience that prepares all employees to integrate smoothly and contribute meaningfully.
As the implementation progresses, the College will benefit from enhanced data management and analytics to inform decisions aligned with the College’s broader goals. Comprehensive training will empower employees to use self-service features confidently, while managers will receive targeted development to promote accountability and engagement by providing expanded employee information and data. The combined effect will be a more capable, strategic HR function that supports student success, staff development, and ongoing institutional advancement.
