Shrink Box

Advocacy for IDS continues: the "department" offers opportunities that many seem to either not understand or consider.  IDS can provide a vehicle to expand (in a sincere and meaningful manner) our DEISJ efforts with degrees, programming and opportunities for students and faculty. The departmental programming and footprint easily could be expanded with several of the low to no cost goals and initiatives. It also provides options to engage meaningfully with the community.

Department Goals

Specific things the department wishes to achieve or accomplish this academic year.

# Department Goal
1 Explore and expand course offerings as appropriate, including DESIJ opportunities
2 Provide annual funding for students & faculty to participate in conferences and other experiential learning and community-building opportunities
3 Increase enrollment and retention in IDS and HUM courses
4 Make connections with other areas and groups, both on and off campus.
5 Explore ways to add eportfolio and internship opportunities for students

Initiatives

Projects or processes that would assist you in achieving one or more of your goals this academic year.
