Library instruction is an important function of the library and librarians. It is outlined in Goal 2 in the library’s Mission and Goals statement as: “Provide an effective program of Library Instruction where students will learn the methods and processes necessary to effectively carry out research for scholarly purposes and the pursuit of life-long learning.” The library in the Newburgh Campus offers library instruction in the faculty’s class and available computer labs. The library’s goal is to offer more options and flexibility for library instruction to faculty in Newburgh.

Equalize the library instruction program between Newburgh and Middletown campuses. The Middletown library has a library instruction classroom which facilitates library instruction in Middletown. The Newburgh campus library encounters scheduling conflicts due to its lack of a library instruction room.
