The payroll department strives to increase efficiencies in all processes.  We continue to  adapt to the human resource department's newly implemented HRIS system and corresponding modules.  In addition it is the department’s objective to reduce the amount of storage pace that is currently being utilized.  Payroll will continue to scan payroll documents that are currently in storage.  This has been an ongoing project that was put on hold due to COVID. Once the payroll team has completed the payroll files we will begin to scan the old ERS & TRS files to the S Drive.  In an effort to share organizational knowledge throughout the payroll department we will begin cross training each payroll staff member. Our focus on this years cross training will be on the three retirement systems, ERS, TRS and ORP

1 Cross Train all staff
2 Establish procedures for new HRIS/Payroll system
3 Schedule time to scan all previous year files
4 Will begin to cross train within the payroll department as to ensure a smooth and timely payroll processing procedure in case of an employee absence.
