The AVP for Student Engagement and Completion is dedicated to helping retain students and assisting them through the completion of their degree. This is accomplished by supporting and monitoring at-risk students' academic progress, coordinating with the Student Support Initiatives staff, academic advisement, faculty and financial aid offices and providing referrals to campus resources and support services, and coordinating programs that foster the academic success of students. 1 Now that EOP has been instituted as part of the college's fabric, it is important we continue to provide services throughout students' college career specific to class year, majors, and career aspirations that foster intrapersonal and interpersonal develo
2 Continue to work with the college as a whole so that we can engage and retain students to graduation and assist them in pursuing postgraduate academic and/or employment opportunities.
3 Continue to work collaboratively with both the Grants Office and the Foundation.
4 Implement and assess the “Ways to Improve Minority Male Enrollment, Retention, and Graduation Rates” PIF Project
5 Work in conjuction with financial aid, VP for Student Servcies and the Foundation to implemnet a plan for increasing need- and merit-based funding to increase access and ensure education remains affordable for the studnets enrolled in the EOP Program
