The Student Services division is committed to providing exemplary service to students and families.  Changes in State and Federal law, in the mandates and regulations that guide our work, and in institutional policies and procedures, have heightened the need for on-going professional development  and training in virtually every area across all levels of personnel.  

Wherever and whenever possible training is done in-house, via webinar. or through SUNY system.  However, it has become increasingly clear that memberships in professional organizations and the ability to attend conferences and to work with others in similar positions or at peer institutions is a valuable and necessary component of every staff member's professional life.

If we are to remain current with the changes in the higher education landscape and responsive to the students and families we serve, an increase in the budget allocation for professional development is needed.
