Changes in State and Federal law, in the mandates and regulations that guide our work, and in institutional policies and procedures, have heightened the need for on-going professional development  and training in virtually every area across all levels of personnel.  

Consequences of this initiative not being funded

The ramifications of mistakes and failure to be in compliance in the areas of Accessibility Services, Admissions, Financial Aid,Registrar and Veteran's Affairs could be costly to the institution and could disrupt services to students.

Participation in professional organizations keeps staff current with the emerging issues in their respective areas of responsibility, provides a resource of colleagues, and supports change and improvement to service delivery.
