Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale	Currently, students who earned their HSE/GED are contacted by the Assistant Chair, who meets with them to determine correct placement. This process is cumbersome and inconvenient for students.
Consequences of this initiative not being funded	We will lose students who were interested in attending, but do not follow up with the Assistant Chair when contacted by her.

STRATEGIC PLAN 2020-2025 Empower Student Success: Equitably link students with their aspirations Goal #1: Identify and reduce the barriers to academic and personal success	The right placement test is crucial for correct placement. Our students who have completed their HSE/GED are the students least likely to be helped by the multiple measures currently in place. There are placement tests available that would even allow students to review material and retest, if they are so inclined.
