Studies show that minority students (especially black men) have the lowest success rates through developmental mathematics.  In an effort to combat this at SUNY Orange, we would like to have the opportunity for all math faculty to receive training and understanding around equity practices. 

There's a 2-day program available through NISOD which would cost the college $1000. The program was recorded so we could view the individual talks at our leisure. Here's a link: https://www.nisod.org/online-convenings/improving-equity-diversity-and-inclusion/

Consequences of this initiative not being funded

We will not further our overall college goals/plans.
