These include: Student participation in competitions and travel to conferences Exhibits in the Harriman Student Gallery Master Artists / Master Musician / Master Writers series Codify relationship between on-campus childcare facilities and the Education Department Global Initiative Open Service Learning Course to students beyond those in the Honors program

Our students need to feel that they are valued at SUNY Orange. The support for extracurricular and new student learning opportunities would certainly help students connect with the institution and assist with the promotion of SUNY Orange to prospective students and their families. While the committee would have liked to have seen more clarity given in terms of what types of conferences and competitions students could participate in and what long term benefits it could have for them after their time at SUNY Orange, we feel promoting student success and opportunities is a worthy investment. We would recommend surveying current students to see what types of opportunities they would like to participate in.
