The Center for Student Success is dedicated to providing comprehensive student support services across the Middletown and Newburgh campuses, as well as through online platforms. This document outlines the goals and initiatives for both campus centers during the 2023-2024 academic year.

At the Center for Student Success (CSS) we support students from their initial transition to college through to the successful completion of their degrees. CSS is committed to facilitating optimal learning experiences, helping students achieve their academic objectives, and fostering the development of confident and independent learners. We aim to contribute to SUNY Orange's commitment to offering accessible, inclusive, and holistic support tailored to the diverse needs of our students.

In the upcoming academic year, we will build upon the achievements of the previous year by continuing to pursue the following goals:
Conducting ongoing assessments of current services to enhance accessibility and eliminate barriers for students.
Expanding existing services to provide holistic support that addresses the diverse needs of our student body.
Enhancing technological access and functionality to ensure consistent and standardized support for online learning, aligning with on-campus learning support.

2 Engage a holistic, student-centered approach to learning and success; expand support services to address the gap of college readiness for students.
3 Identify and reduce barriers to student support services; prioritize the improvement and ease of support access.
4 Partner and collaborate with departments across the college to create cohesion across support services, maximize the use of internal resources, and eliminate redundancies in services.
5 Foster a working environment for staff and tutors that values diversity, growth mindset, and continuous improvement; increase staff retention.
6 Develop and utilize data-driven assessment to inform support programming decisions that impact overall student retention.
7 Elevate awareness and outreach efforts for academic support services, with a targeted emphasis on promoting tutoring for academic development and success skills among students.
