The Education Department will focus on four primary priorities in the upcoming academic year. First, we intend to strengthen our collaboration with SUNY New Paltz to ensure clear and efficient transfer pathways for our education students. This work will be especially important as we transition from joint registration to a formal articulation model.

Second, we plan to explore offering the Early Childhood Foundations microcredential in a more flexible modality. Expanding access beyond traditional in-person, daytime scheduling will allow us to better serve working early childhood educators.

Third, we aim to enhance the department’s collection of developmentally appropriate classroom materials available in the Hands-on Learning Lab. Providing opportunities for students to explore and manipulate high-quality early childhood materials supports their ability to use these resources effectively in professional settings.

Finally, we will continue to build and maintain transfer articulations with four-year institutions, including Mount Saint Mary College. We remain committed to ensuring that our students have meaningful and varied options for continuing their education.
