A general statement (narrative) about what the department wants to accomplish.

To provide an easily accessible, welcoming and efficient testing environment for students that ensures optimal conditions for successful demonstration and measurement of tester's aptitude and/or ability. To ensure integrity of the testing process from introduction of the assessment tool to the test taker to provision of a score or product to the tester or score evaluator.

While other tests may be administered based on a test candidate's individual needs, administration of the college placement test to SUNY Orange students is the primary role of the Testing Center.

Department Goals

Specific things the department wishes to achieve or accomplish this academic year.

1	Test candidates (students) will have ease of access to tests offered in the Test Center.
2	The test center staff will be qualified to administer tests for which they are scheduled to proctor.
3	The test center environment will be conducive to maintaining the integrity of the test administered and to providing optimal physical test taking conditions for test candidates.
4	The Test Center will provide efficient and accurate reporting of test results within the specified time frame for each test.
