During the 2019-2020 & 2020-2021 academic year, our Financial Aid team was able to switch our services from in-person to remote to accommodate our student due the pandemic. The staff say a great deal of transition but was able to maintain serving our students as quickly as possible, while being short staffed. The majority of our student paperwork has transitioned to Mach forms and our Department was able to successfully implement TD Client.

In addition, the professional staff received some training and consulting through Iron Bridge this spring & summer and our team was able to create a new SAP policy that is in compliance with federal regulations while making the process more transparent and student friendly.

For the 2021-2022 academic year, our Financial Aid Team will focus on achieving the following goals:

• Cross training for the entire FA Team
• Implementation of Live-chat
• Enhance verification process through the purchase of Inceptia
• Institute Financial Aid Ambassador Program
• Offer more professional development for entire staff
• Offer virtual appointments & Workshops

Our goals will focus on the following Strategic Plan and Themes:

• Theme # 1: Use human, financial and physical resources to collectively and cohesively achieve holistic, student-centered outcomes with the common goal of enhancing the student experience.
• Theme # 5: Maximize and more efficiently use the existing technologies and physical resources of the institution by establishing plans and processes that allow for upgrading and maintaining current resources.
