As we approach the 2018-2019 academic year, the Office of Admissions will look to implement new strategies and methods to help grow our enrollment at SUNY Orange. To ensure we are maximizing our efforts in the correct areas, we will look to focus our attention on specific strategic priorities, specifically those that pertain to enrollment the most. Please see below for a comprehensive list of Strategic Priorities we will focus on during the 2018-2019 Academic Year:

With the complexities of the current budget status at the college, we understand that some of our initiatives may be long term goals while others will need to rely on collaboration with colleagues from inside and outside the institution to help offset the costs. Below is a comprehensive look at the 2018-2019 initiatives the Office of Admissions would like to implement for the upcoming academic year:

  • Re-fund our Student Admission Ambassador Program
  • Purchase equipment that will help showcase our institution at High School & College Fairs
  • Create admission instructional videos in English & Spanish that conveys how students can apply
  • Hire full-time admissions recruiter
  • Purchase Customer Relations Management System (CRM) – May be a long term goal
  • Purchase additional names for target marketing campaign to non-traditional & Veterans students
  • Collaborate outside agencies (Leadership Orange) to create summer institute program
  • Collaborate with local private college (Mount Saint Mary College) to create accelerated bridge program for adults and non-traditional student
  • Create virtual campus tour

4 Add transparency to the admissions process through the use of innovative technology.
