Arts and Communication Department Mission statement:  The Arts and Communication Department of Orange County Community  College offers academic courses and programs that help prepare students for transfer to four-year colleges and for careers in art, communication, music, and theater.  We provide ongoing services and enrichment to the College and community by presenting a wide variety of cultural events and opportunities. 

Given the College's fiscal challenges and enrollment decline, we are fortunate and appreciative of the administration's continued support of our department in the fulfillment of our mission.  We were able to achieve some of our AY 2022-2023 goals, most notably the funding to upgrade the lighting system in Orange Hall Theater.  The goals we were not able to achieve we are rolling over into our AY 2023-2024 plans.
