The Office of Institutional Advancement will embark on a revised role at SUNY Orange when the new college fiscal year begins on September 1, 2017.  No longer will the operations of the Educational Foundation of Orange County Community College be under the direction and leadership of the Vice President for Institutional Advancement.  The Vice President for Institutional Advancement will continue to provide leadership and direction for the other areas of this division including grants, communications, marketing, publications, governmental relations, community relations, and social media.

Additionally, the Vice President of Institutional Advancement will continue to serve as the Executive Director of the College Association.  Currently,the College Association provides functions for the College that per state statue the college is not allowed to operate themselves.  These activities include food service, bookstore, rental properties, fiscal management of the Student Activity Fees, and the payroll function for the Lab Schools.

The Vice President of Institutional Advancement also oversees the Office of Information Technology.  

Department Goals

Specific things the department wishes to achieve or accomplish this academic year.

1 To increase student enrollment on both the Middletown and Newburgh campuses
2 To continue to ensure that all grants submitted support both the College's Strategic Plan and the Academic Master Plan.
3 To increase the amount of interactivity with governmental officials on the county and state levels
4 Continue to build goodwill among the college's alumni
5 Continue to address and support the college's ongoing technology needs
6 Improve the financial situation of the College Association
