The SUNY Orange Workforce Development Programming Department strives to empower individuals and strengthen the Hudson Valley community by delivering innovative, inclusive, and industry-focused education and training programs. Our mission is to bridge the gap between education and employment, equipping learners with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to thrive in today’s rapidly changing economy. By fostering strong partnerships with local employers, embracing cutting-edge technologies, and prioritizing accessibility for diverse populations, we aim to drive economic growth, promote equity, and prepare a resilient workforce ready to meet the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow.

1 Develop in-demand certification programs aligned with high-growth industries such as healthcare.
2 Develop a pathway from non-credit programs to credit-bearing courses, enabling students to transition smoothly into degree programs.
3 Foster employer partnerships to drive curriculum development, create work based learning opportunities, and direct employment pathways.
4 Enhance digital and technical literacy for instructors including the utilization of AI in the classroom.
