The Office of Admissions major priority at SUNY Orange is to market to, enroll and inform the general public about SUNY Orange and our available degree & certificate programs. We work closely with constituents at SUNY Orange included Academic Affairs and our Student Services Division to help our students understand the importance of a SUNY Orange education.

During the 2019-2020 academic year, we will look to enhance the operations of our department through the use of technology and additional human resources. We would also like to continue to improve our ongoing communication with our applicants regarding the enrollment process. As a focal point, we will concentrate our initiatives within the following guide-lines in the strategic plan:

These priorities will continue to be a major influence as to how we will assist the institution in in meeting our enrollment numbers. Below is a list of goals we would to achieve this year:

  • Continue to improve outgoing and incoming communication with our applicants.
  • Track and maintain our applicants enrollment process through the use of a CRM.
  • Increase SUNY Orange's visibility by attending community outreach events & programming. 
  • Streamline the enrollment process of non-degree seeking students.
  • Enhance services at our Port Jervis location.
  • Provide additional opportunities for staff development.
  • Utilize the use of technology in our admissions presentations.
  • Look to increase staffing levels to help promote SUNY Orange.

4 Change 1040 position to a part-time admissions recruiter position.
5 Create a true online registration process for non-degree seeking students.
